The Company House Wins another ECMA for Venue of the Year in 2011
Mary Ann Daye and Heather Gibson are just back from the 2011 East Music Coast Music Week and Awards held in Charlottetown in April 2011, where they attended the 2011 Industry Awards Brunch on Saturday April 16th. They were once again awarded Venue of the Year. The awards are voted on by ECMA members which are comprised of musicians, producers, managers, promoters, and other industry professionals.
The Company House Announces First Time Tuesdays presented by Propeller - 3rd Tuesday of the Month
If you are an aspiring or emerging musician and have wanted to try out your music on The Company House stage, now is your chance. Every 3rd Tuesday of the month, we will schedule people in advance to play 20-30 minute sets from 8pm to 10pm. All you have to do is bring your best stuff and your friends for support. A representative from The Company House will be there to listen and who knows, you may be playing your own show before you know it.
If you are interested or know of other people who might, please spread the word and send an email to thecompanyhouse@gmail.com with the subject "first time tuesdays". This is primarily for solo's, duo's and trio's.

The Company House announces an Artist In Residence Program - March 2010
Emerging musician, Natasha Peach, completed the first Artist is Resident program at the end of May. She played every second Monday for three months. The Artist in Resident program is an opportunity for musicians to hone their craft in a live environment. Musicians can tweak old songs and test new ones, as well as collaborate on stage with other musicians or pretty much anything they feel will help them become better performers. One of Natasha’s goals was to become more comfortable on stage. “It seems like with each passing performance I become more and more me. There really has been such a huge transformation that has happened inside of me since the beginning the program.”
